The Christmas veg price war has officially returned for 2025, with Aldi and Lidl confirming their famous 8p vegetables once again. Every year, supermarkets compete to offer the cheapest festive essentials — and it’s great news for anyone looking to keep Christmas dinner costs down.
As prices are often matched across retailers, it’s not unusual to see similar deals pop up elsewhere as Christmas approaches. There’s also usually free carrots and other free veg available around Christmas Eve, which we’ll add to this post as soon as details are confirmed.
